On Sunday, parents and families of Gan Academy students gathered for a PTA-sponsored Chanukah party to kick off the Chanukah season.
Rabbi Moshe Liebilich, director of the Yeshiva division, welcomed parents and spoke about the beautiful Gan Academy parent community within the larger community of Crown Heights.
He emphasized the importance of Jewish education to combat assimilation. The party featured a variety of creative, hands-on activities as well as a magician to entertain the crowd.
Held at Nosson’s Shul, the party concluded with an outdoor Menorah lighting by Rabbi Yehoshua Kapeluschnik, Menahel Gashmi at both the Yeshiva and Preschool/Girls divisions. The school community is grateful to PTA heads Abi Cohen and Chan’chee Haskelewich for coordinating such a happy and fun event.
