This past Sunday, after three exciting and action-packed days in the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim camp, the 1,000 Young Shluchim were treated to an elaborate banquet dinner.
Special guests included Chony Milecki and Eli Marcus for music, Rabbi Yitzi Erps the storyteller, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor – Shliach to Thailand, and a video presentation featuring Itche Kadoozy.
The theme of this year’s banquet was Hakhel, bringing the world of Young Shlichus together, symbolized by the globe balloons floating above each table and onscreen, where the Kinus logo was superimposed over the world. Music by Chony Milecki set the tone for the evening.
The bunks filed in one by one and were swiftly served delicious Chinese chicken, rice and French fries.
The banquet opened with a video of the #HakhelChallenge started by the famous Rabbi Itche Kadoozy. Next was a Rebbe video of the song of “Tzama L’Cha Nafshi” and a sicha talking about the importance of Shlichus and how special the Shluchim are, courtesy of JEM.
The children were then addressed by Leibel Lazaroff from College Station, Texas, who spoke about his life on Shlichus. Then famed storyteller Rabbi Yitzi Erps captivated the kids’ attention with a story about a couple who moved on Shlichus with their son and with Hashem’s help overcame animosity and won over the community. Rabbi Kantor, Shliach to Thailand, gave a special video address to the children and their unique status.
Famed singer Eli Marcus sang the Kinus theme song. Spontaneous dancing broke out as bunks took to the aisles or their chairs.
The energy of the room soared even higher as the roll call began, with each child standing proud and waving glow sticks as their country was announced. As the roll call came to a close, the room erupted in singing and dancing.
Benny Friedman surprised the children by joining Eli Marcus in a duet concert, concluding a memorable evening for all. At the conclusion of the banquet, Shluchim parents who came to pick up their children also joined in the celebration and dancing, energized and inspired to return to their hometowns.

This was one of the best programs I have ever attended. I sent my son there for the first time and hope to bring him and the rest of my kids back each year. The chasidishe and fun environment was perfect.
