The horrific Coronavirus plague struck a deadly blow to the Gurewicz Family. Just over a week ago, Rabbi Shalom Gurewicz, a 56-year-old husband and father of 6, lost his life, an innocent victim of COVID-19.

Reb Shalom was a fine, pure, and gentle soul, an inspiring influence to any and all.

For many years, Rabbi Gurewicz served as the rabbinical coordinator for the Kof-K Kosher supervision in Chicago and the midwest. He single-handedly ensured that you and I enjoyed the highest standards of Kashrus.

His family, who just recently moved to Pomona, NY, needs your support NOW. As Pesach approaches, your contribution will literally save a family from even more suffering!

If consoling a mourning family is not enough, these words penned in 2010 by Rabbi Gurewicz himself, will surely open your heart:

“My zeida, Nochum Zalman Gurewicz, once took my aunt Ida to see the Lubavitcher Rebbe. She told the Rebbe that her husband Hershel was not a Chossid but a ‘finer poshuter yid,’ a fine simple Jew (in fact he was a Yid a Talmud Chochom). The Rebbe answered her, ‘Un vos is a Chossid? A finer poshuter Yid!’ And what is a Chossid? a fine simple Jew!”

The Gurewicz Family needs all finer poshuter Yidden, all fine and pure Jews everywhere to give generously with an open heart, a strong hand, and an outstretched arm!
