A SummerFest for the Jewish community is hitting the Catskills on August 9th and it’s going to be a day not to be missed, organizers say.
Keren Simchas Chosson V’Kallah (KSCVK) of Crown Heights is bringing together a summer fair featuring 26 rides, for both adults and kids; a delicious BBQ spread and more.
The world-renown 8th Day band will be performing.
“It’s going to be a fantastic day out, not just for kids but for teens and adults as well,” says Shmully Brashevitzky, KSCVK’s Program Director. “We are planning an out-of-this-world event that will surely be the highlight of the summer in the Catskills.”
Doors open at 11am at Sullivan County Community College, 112 College Rd, Loch Sheldrake and thousands are expected to attend. In addition to inflatable rides, Jewish musical sensation 8th Day will be performing their latest hits with the concert beginning at 4pm.
Each year, KSCVK helps hundreds of couples with everything wedding-related, from booking and paying for the wedding hall to organizing the musicians, caterer, clothing, and photographer.
“It’s a great opportunity to raise money for a much-needed cause, while providing entertainment for families staying in the Catskills for the summer, as well as those driving up from Brooklyn or from Monsey,” Brashevitzky said.
KSCVK are offering special discounted rates for those who pre-purchase tickets and are recommending that entry and parking tickets are purchased in advance to avoid disappointment.

y didnt u do it the previous week on visiting day so it’d give us a day out with the kids and something to do?
Arrange a bus? People in Brooklyn would like to participate and would probably pay bus fare to get out of the city.
