וַיִּפְגַּ֨ע בַּמָּק֜וֹם וַיָּ֤לֶן שָׁם֙ כִּי־בָ֣א הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ וַיִּקַּח֙ מֵאַבְנֵ֣י הַמָּק֔וֹם וַיָּ֖שֶׂם מְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֑יו וַיִּשְׁכַּ֖ב בַּמָּק֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃ (ויצא כח, יא)
“He came upon a certain place and stopped there for the night, for the sun had set. Taking one of the stones of that place, he put it under his head and lay down in that place.”
A beautiful Remez/Hint in the פסוק, we say every night before going to sleep
*בְּיָדְךָ֮ * אַפְקִ֢יד רוחי (תהלים לא,ו)
To the Medrash, that Yaakov went to sleep for ONE night, however 14 years prior in Yashiva of Aiver, and 20 years after he did not sleep.
