Jewish music star Avraham Fried will be in Israel next week to launch his new album – entirely in Hebrew.
Fried, who has an enthusiastic following in Israel who lovingly call him “Avreimel,” is expected to fill the outdoor entertainment venue, Sultan’s pool in Jerusalem.
The pre-Tu B’Av concert will be the official launch of his album titled “The Israel Album – Kama Tov Shenifgashnu.” Joining him on stage will be singers Chaim Moshe and Idan Amedi.
It builds on Fried’s recent collaborations with Israeli artists that aren’t necessarily chassidic or religious.
“The story of this album began with one little leaf,” Fried said, referencing his first Hebrew hit song “Aleh Katan Sheli” from 2002.
The album includes songs Maslul, Over Ma She’over, Ani Shar, Rak Milim Pshutot, Pashut Anashim, Achim Banefesh, Zeh Lazeh, El H’aor, Shlach Li Koach, Yerushalayim Shebalev, Shirat Ha’asavim, Hashem Yilachem, Kama Tov Shenifgashnu.
The 13 songs are already available on iTunes for $10.99. Among the participating musicians are Rami Kleinstein, Udi Damari, Tomer Hadadi, Rony Barrak, and Ishay Ribo.

as a child of the 70 ‘s and 80’s MBD and Avrom Fried were the only singers we listened to ( groups too tzilverzemer and miami) but i can tell u now that AF is the only one that has stayed with me all the way thru! from all the singers out there AF is tops!!! his voice , his songs , his eidlekiet, humility .. this man is truly the king of jewish music !!! the joy he brings to my family is unmeasurable ! i wish i could afford to have him sing at my daughters wedding next… Read more »

Thank you for having the courage to share your talents in an ever-growing measure.When one fellow Jew does this, it pulls the rest of us up to use our talents whatever they may be, that Hashem lovingly gives us, so we can uplift and strengthen others ..even if we have no idea who we are strengthening. does the entire album feature this “new” sound, or just the clip offered online? this sound is of a different genre and is likely to broaden his audience, but personally, i hope the old Fried is also very present in this album.
