On Friday, May 13, 2022, at 3:15 p.m., outside the Jewish Children’s Museum, Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), co-chair of the House Republican Israel Caucus and one of two Jewish Republicans in Congress, will be joined by New York Jewish Community leaders to speak out about this past week’s violent antisemitic attacks in Brooklyn and the spread of antisemitic hate throughout New York.
Since last Friday, there have been three antisemitic assaults in Brooklyn alone. The most gruesome incident came at the corner of Utica Avenue and President Street, where Rabbi Yehoshua Lefkowitz was punched and kicked in the head, had antisemitic slurs shouted at him, and was forced to go to the hospital due to his injuries.
Joining will be Congressman Lee Zeldin, Americans Against Antisemitism Founder Dov Hikind, American Jewish Committee (AJC) New York Associate Director Brandon Pinsker and Jewish Community leaders.
The community is encouraged to come out for the event Friday, 3:15 pm at the Jewish Children’s Museum, 792 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11213.
