5000 people joined Chabad Lubavitch of Toronto to celebrate Lag Baomer at Earl Bales Park.
The festivities began at 12:00 noon in the park’s Amphitheatre as the 12 Psukim were led by children of the local schools. The Twins from France then gave an exhilarating performance.
The Parade followed at 1:30, marching down Bathurst Street, the main Avenue the runs thru the Jewish community.
The parade was led by a police horse unit, an electronic ad truck displaying a giant picture of the Rebbe, the Tzivos Hashem marching band, floats created by the Bochurim of Yeshivas Lubavitch, girls of Bais Chomesh high school and the JRCC bar mitzvah club.
Also, hundreds carried homemade signs on various Jewish themes.
After the parade the marchers circled back to the park where the afternoon was spent enjoying hot dogs, burgers, cotton candy, rides and carnival booths, all with a Jewish themes.
The afternoon concluded with a traditional bonfire.
