A Crown Heights businessman will be sponsoring new white shirts for Crown Heights residents in need, ahead of the upcoming Sukkos holiday.
The resident told COLlive the initiative was born after he had a recent eye-opening conversation with a friend.
“I realized from what he said that many locals struggle to afford basic needs before Yom Tov, with all the myriad of Judaic as well as food and clothing expenses for a family,” he said.
He teamed up with Kingston Avenue clothing shop Boytique, to offer a free gift of 3 white dress shirts for men and boys of families in need, who live in Crown Heights.
Crown Heights residents are welcome to stop by Boytique at 373 Kingston Avenue, between now and Sukkos, to receive 3 shirts, men’s or boy’s sizes.
“I hope that in this small way I can help increase the joy of Yom Tov for families who may not have been able to afford new Shabbos shirts for Sukkos,” he said.
Thank You Chaim Sorkin and CH Businessman for sponsoring the yomtov shirts. My husband and two sons finally have new shirts for yomtov. You should see the smiles on their faces.
