When she held office, Linda Lingle used to host a Pesach seder at Washington Place, a mansion which serves as the Governor of Hawaii’s official residence.
Rabbi Itchel Krasnjansky, Executive Director of Chabad of Hawaii and her spiritual mentor, would lead that seder.
This year, as a private citizen, Lingle turned to Chabad once more to celebrate Pesach the traditional way – with Rabbi Krasnjansky and his wife Pearl.
She was one of the 210 guests who filled the new Chabad House in Honolulu at Ala Moana Hotel (the former Hawaiian Hut) for an inspiring evening filled with meaning, prayer and song.
The meal was prepared by Oahu Kosher, a local catering service owned and led by certified chef Yudi Weinbaum who made a name for himself with his creative food concepts and notable attention to fine detail.
This chabad house is awesome!!!
The greatest food – and don’t forget Levi Baumgarten – his great Pesach assistant
