A new campaign is looking to punish U.S. Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, a Democrat, for her support of sending military defensive aid to Israel in their current battle against the Hamas terror regime in Gaza.
Clarke represents New York’s 9th congressional district which includes the neighborhoods of Brownsville, Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Flatbush, Kensington, Midwood, Sheepshead Bay, Marine Park, Gerritsen Beach, and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
Her vote helped send crucial aid to Israel in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023 attack that killed 1200 Israelis and other nationalities and took 251 people as hostages to Gaza. Hamas has yet to surrender or free the hostages.
The push against Clarke came in the form of flyers hung up around Brooklyn, urging residents to vote for a third candidate in the upcoming election on November 5th – by writing in the name of a Gazan victim.
“In January, a six-year-old Palestinian girl, Hind Rajab, was murdered by an Israeli tank alongside her family and the paramedics who came to rescue her,” the flyer read.
“Our Congresswoman, Yvette Clarke, has voted for billions of dollars in weapons for Israel so they can continue killing kids like Hind,” the flyer stated, calling that Rajab’s name be written as a write-in protest candidate.

She supported the “two-state solution,” with all the death and devastation that idea has brought, r”l. The only reason these people are protesting her is because they want a one-state solution, which is to Ramsay just a Palestinian one.
The majority of politicians who have been in office including Republicans are for a 2 state solution for decades. Clarke is hardly unique in her stance.

We are not getting the representation we deserve because they intentionally districted our neighborhood into pieces so that we can never vote as a whole neighborhood, elect one of ours, and have our Jewish community represented. Enough of this, we need to be represented by decent people with integrity and values that match ours.
