Tisha B’Av marks not only the destruction of the Bros HaMikdosh but the birthday of Moshiach. In this spirit, CGI Florida Boys Division (now located in Groveland, FL) dedicated the entire as Moahiach Day.
The day started with learning all about Moshiach and Geulah, followed by a Moshiach Carnival prepared and put on by the campers themselves!
Lunchtime saw everyone learn a song echoing the Rebbe’s call that “We must do all that we can” to bring Moshiach now!
A special session of Connection Point was held, featuring a rally dedicated to the coming of Moshiach.
The day’s event culminated with a balloon send-off. Attached to each balloon was a hachlata-card filled out earlier that day by each camper, taking upon himself a mitzvah to bring Moshiach and the Geulah now.
May the learning and good results of the day’s event be what tips the scale to bring the Geulah Sheleima and Moshiach now!
They spent the entire day learning and focusing on Moshiach.
The balloons was the final send-off the day
sooo nice keep it up
Balloon launches are so bad for environment, I thought most schools and camps don’t do them anymore.
Never understood why we send “notes to hashem” in balloons.
Hashem isn’t way up high that we need a balloon to reach. And the balloon won’t reach heavens anyway?
Better to write hachlatos in a פן or דוך.
This is not very environmentally friendly. These balloons can end up killing wildlife.
Come on community, let’s get with the program.
Where do the balloons go once they pop. They pollute the environment. There are other ways to have a fun activity.
Fun picture!
