New York State is experiencing extensive flooding, with Rockland and Orange Counties bearing the brunt of the destruction. As anticipated by meteorologists, a deluge of rain poured over the region, leading to flash flooding alerts issued by the National Weather Service.
Early on Sunday morning, reports emerged of the Palisades Interstate Parkway, near Stony Point, succumbing to the surging waters, resulting in its complete submersion and subsequent closure.
Route 6, a vital connection between Orange and Rockland Counties, was washed by the forceful currents.
Video footage capturing the aftermath of the flooding has surfaced, showcasing the grim reality in West Point, Stoney Point, and other affected areas. Numerous vehicles can be seen completely submerged underwater, leaving onlookers astounded by the magnitude of the disaster.
A video taken from inside the Chabad shul in Stoney Point, run by Rabbi Shmuel Amran, showed water washing the surrounding area and worryingly rising towards the windows and entrance.
Notably, the United States Military Academy at West Point, situated along the Hudson River, was inundated, rendering vehicles stranded and homes submerged.
Emergency transmissions from police radios captured officers discussing the abandonment of State Trooper vehicles that had become completely submerged. The dire situation prompted immediate action to ensure the safety of first responders.
The inclement weather has already disrupted air travel, resulting in the cancellation of a substantial number of flights. As of Sunday afternoon, FlightAware reported a total of 1,355 flights either departing from or arriving in the United States being canceled.
New York’s LaGuardia Airport had 200 flights canceled, while John F. Kennedy Airport and Newark Airport experienced 110 and 147 flight cancellations, respectively. Passengers and airlines alike faced the challenging task of managing the consequences of these disruptions.
The authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, and residents are urged to exercise caution and follow any instructions provided by local authorities.

May Hashem keep everyone safe!!!
who made it rain?
Does anyone know what towns are affected?
Don’t believe the liberals when they say extreme weather like this is not normal and due to climate change. We all know this is normal and happens all the time.
Until that didn’t fit their agenda.
And yes, extreme weather has happened for millennia, so the doomsday predictors are just crying wolf.
