The first ever unity Simchas Beis Hashoeva gathering in Toronto took place Monday night, uniting Jews of all types for a beautiful event.
The event was arranged and organized by Levi Ackermann and Dovid Rodov (The ChaBaD House Toronto – otherwise known as CB”D).
The event was held Leyilui Nishmas Hatomim Meir Likhovetski A”H who dreamed up this event, but unfortunately passed away in a car accident before he could bring it to fruition.
The event began with a children’s program featuring storyteller Yossi Blaustein and the 12 Pesukim led by Rabbi Eli Serebryanski. The children’s program was especially poignant as it was held Leyilui Nishmas Atara Cohen A”H who was tragically niftar in an accident at the young age of 9 just before Yom Tov.
The joyous dancing was livened by performances by the 8th Day Band and Sruly Williger, with music arranged by Shlomo Simcha.
Special thanks to Shomrim Toronto for working with the city to allow for such an event to take place. Special thanks to Rabbi Moshe Spalter and Chabad-Lubavitch.

Huge THANK YOU to Levi Ackerman and Dovid Rodov. This is exactly what our community needed. Achdus, happiness, warmth, love and dancing together for hours. The joy and Achdus experienced should bring Moshiach now!
Probably the greatest event Toronto has ever had untill this point!!! May you guys infinitely surpass it next year in Yerushalayim with Moshiach!!!
Seriously looking forward to next Year!!!
A HUGE thank you and Yasher Koach to the organizers.
Having lived most of my life in Toronto, it’s beyond satisfying to see what these awesome Bochurim were able to achieve!
May the Neshama of Hatomim Meir Likhovetski Z”L – who dreamed of making this a reality, as well as the Neshama of Atara Cohen Z”L – who’s tragic passing inspired the community to implement “V’hachai Yiten El Li’bo in their daily lives – storm the gates of heaven and bring Moshiach ASAP!
L’chaim and Good Mo’ed.
A huge shoutout and thank you to Levi Ackermann and Dovid Rodov for arranging this beautiful event!!
