Bochurim of Tomchei Tmimim and Chabad Yeshivos worldwide will be enjoying a rare opportunity to learn Gemara with the commentaries from the Chabad Rebbes.
Beginning from the Alter Rebbe, through the Tzemach Tzedek and the Rebbe, these enlightening and deep explanations will be accompanying a new edition of the Gemara.
Leading the effort is Rabbi Yochanon Gurary, Chief Rabbi of the Israeli city of Holon and Director of the Oholei Sheim Lubavitch publishing house.
“Our intention is to first publish the tractates that are learned in yeshivos, but in the second stage we’ll consider continuing to all tractates of Talmud Bavli,” he said.
A group of talented and knowledgeable Torah scholars have spent hundreds of hours on the project, and the first volume on Meseches Kiddushin, to be learned in Yeshivos this coming school year, will be printed before Elul 5771.
It will include the Gemara layout from the Oz V’hadar edition and in separate pages the commentaries of the Rebbes, which in Kiddushin fills some 300 large pages.
The Chish company in Kfar Chabad will be distributing it. It’s not clear who will be selling it in the United States.

Rabbi Guarary-how about adding nekudos and English
I have such a Taaveh to such a sefer. Currently I have to first find the L.S. maftechas than the sichas on that page scattered in 38 volumes now it will all be there on the page and much much more – all the other sichos, letters… and rewritten to be built on the Gemara instead of on the parsha.
Brilliant!
Yasher Koach!!!
hey careful what you say, and think only more positive!!!
go rabbi guraryeh cant wait to make it to chulon again,
Hatzlocha Rabba Umuflaga!!
As a kid, I had a Bova Basra which was printed with the Tzemach tzedeck (and perhaps more) in the back.
Its not the “first ever”, there used to be another one on the market from Mendelson Press by Seldowitz, but for some odd reasons is out of print…
normally these projects don’t take off the ground, they print half a sefer then it is forgotten about forever..
