What are the guidelines that your camp will need to go by?

The guidelines from the state of CT seem to be very strict. More details are coming next week. They’re going to have to keep social distancing, which is not such a plausible task at an overnight camp.

Beautiful!

Before you announce that you’re going to open maybe first find out what the guidelines are. In other words if you have to social distance it’s not so practical to open.

Fund to help - ESSENTIAL
May 7, 2020 3:36 pm

Real kudos to the camps for taking this on, considering how important this is for both the children and parents alike at this time. And it’s most definitely not going to be easy. It would really be amazing if leaders (or any common folk with the ability) in our community could now take initiative and help set up a fund to help people send there kids to camp. It’s undoubtedly going to be more difficult then usual to pay for the costs of the camps, and I think the camps are doing enough by just enabling this to happen, for… Read more »

COVID Refund?
May 7, 2020 4:58 pm

Would love to register my daughter, but I don’t see a COVID refund Clause? Please add that to protect all of us. In case the CDC does not allow it & we lose all our money.

1. NY Post ran a story yesterday that CT is opening camps.
2. Camp Chomeish is licensed by the state and this article states it will follow their guidelines.
3. The article in the NY Post says that the state commissioner approved the opening of camps with a letter.
4. You can register your daughter with confidence that the camp is opening… TRACHT GUT VET ZIEN GUT…..

What is WRONG with you people? Guard your lives!

How many funerals are passing through Crown Heights per week? “But it will follow state guidelines?” How’s that working out so far? How many rabbaim, mashpi’im, and shluchim have we buried so far? New York – (as of yesterday) 26,771 deaths to date 2,700 new cases per day 200 new deaths per day GUARD YOUR LIVES! Your authorities are clueless, your community leaders have provided little leadership — get advise from somewhere that has had success! Eretz Yisroel, B”H, has done something right. BUT, 70% of the virus cases in Israel were among the frum. KNOW THE RISK, KNOW WHAT… Read more »

I do not understand opening!!!!

As of May 11th 2020 in CT
SUMMER CAMPS

Beth Bye, the commissioner of the state Office of Early Childhood, said Monday that summer camps could open on June 29 with strict public health guidelines in place. The governor’s office later clarified that would not include overnight camps.

Sleep over camps are called residential camps, the state clearly says that all camps are the same. And specifically included sports and residential camps in the guidelines dozens of CT camps are opening you can Google it. As per the virus. Children are not at risk. And most of the families already had the virus.
