The New York City Department of Sanitation has issued a snow alert for Monday.
The agency sent out the warning for 12:01 a.m. Monday to start preparations for bad weather, but it’s not an official weather forecast. At this point, only flurries and light snow were forecast for Monday, with cold temperatures.
The alert allows the Department of Sanitation to start loading salt spreaders, attaching plows, preparing tire chains and notifying other city agencies and supplementary personnel as needed.
It will monitor forecasts and will provide updates as the snow event approaches.
It snowed in london before it snowed in ny!
Nothing like the beauty of sparkling fresh snow.
Look at the happy faces on the (alter-)zeidies as the walked in the snow. How beautiful!
Artistic points for pic #10, through the arm rest of a park bentch.
was no one up at 1am a few weeks ago? there was some beautiful, brief snowfall.
It may be the first snow for new york, but to say that its the seasons first is stretching it! Other places exist in us too you know…
snow in new york???? not even mentioned ” THE TRI STATE ” this time
Mazel Tov and secondly – 1 + 2 we want Moshiach now
enough tzoros. i hope moshiach comes now.
I’m hoping that Moshiach will REALLY come, not like this snow that’s hardly worth of any mention since nothing is left to show that it snowed
“Finally” snow in NY? Is that supposed to be a good thing that we have been waiting for, and now finally is here at last? I would rather see the headline, FINALLY, Moshiach is here at last.
