On culminating night of Simchas Beis Hashoeva, residents danced on the street corners of Crown Heights, where life intersects with joy and you intersect (while socially distancing) with your fellow Jew!
An intersection is a point where two or more elements meet. The role of a Chossid is to intersect matter with spirit, for the Neshama and Guf to meet, for heaven to come down to earth and for earth to rise up to heaven.
The last night of Simchas Beis Hashoeva AFLOAT paused on the corners and intersections of Crown Heights so that we residents could dance together while still maintaining the safety regulations necessitated by COVID-19.

Simchas Beis Hashoeva is the greatest joy precisely because the waters that descended below to create the world reunite and intersect with their heavenly source. 40 years ago, the Rebbe directed us to make the streets dance, to make a G-dly intersection uniting all of Crown Heights, and all Jews everywhere, in the infinite circle of simcha portetz geder, a joy transcending all boundaries.
Everything in this world costs money. It’s how lofty, floaty ideas intersect with reality. We and Reb Yisroel really need your support to bring the Simcha to everyone everywhere.
