Seriously? You are looking for free smoke alarms and batteries? And if you can’t find free ones, what are you going to do? Wait? Do without? Are the lives of your families truly worth less than a few dollars?

There were today! They were distributing them as well as batteries if you needed for already existing smoke alarms.

Someone once wrote the rebbe that he a brake in (a robbery) in his house (maybe it was even more than once) & asked what needs to be fixed? & suggested to the rebbe maybe he should check his mezozahs! The rebbe response: make sure doors & windows are close before you go to sleep.
