On Tes Adar, the day the Frierdiker Rebbe arrived in America and established Tomchei Temimim here, fathers and sons gathered for a special day in Lubavitch Yeshiva Crown Street.
The day began with each father and son learning B’chavrusa the Ma’amar Ve’ata Tetzave. Before Shachris, Rabbi Yosef Simpson, Menahel Moised gave a shiur on preparing for davening and the meaning of Pirush Hamilos. Davening itself was filled with such chayus and energy in the Shul.
After Shachris, everyone gathered in the large hall for an elaborate breakfast and Farbrengen in honor of this special day. Rabbi Scharf, Menahel of the Mechina Division, spoke about how, on this day, the Frierdiker Rebbe established Tomchei Temimim in America, which became the foundation for the entire Shlichus revolution. He also emphasized the importance of making our homes into a Tomchei Temimim.
Hatomim Chaim Rimler shared about the impact the Yeshiva has had on his life this year—the special programs, the Hachlatos he has taken on, and the Chayus of what it means to be a Chassidishe Bochur.
Rabbi Zalmen Schneur, director of MEF and a proud parent, spoke about the Hakoras Hatov all the parents have for the Yeshiva. He highlighted how the learning, davening, and Chassidishe environment have made a tremendous impact on his son and all the Talmidim.
Throughout the Farbrengen, Niggunim were led by Rabbi Shmueli, along with music by our dear Talmid, Hatomim Sholom Goldstein.
The Farbrengen concluded with lively dancing in honor of Chodesh Adar.
