Adar Aleph was an exciting month for the Mesivta of Pittsburgh.
In addition to the regular sedorim of learning that the bochurim are involved in, they went on a number of trips this month.
The Mesivta went skiing, bowling and to Topgolf. There were a number of different mivtzas that the Hanhala and the Shluchim arranged and numerous incentives connected with them.
Also, this past Shabbos, they had their father and son Shabbaton which was a huge success B”H!
The fathers came from all over the USA and Canada to be in the seviva of yeshiva together with their sons.
There was chavrusa learning and farbrengens over Shabbos. On Friday night the entire Mesivta ate Seudas Shabbos together. Followed by a farbrengen with Rabbi Ephraim Lerner, Rabbi Yitzi Goldwasser and Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Klein.
On Shabbos day each Shiur ate individually. There was Seder Niggunim on Shabbos afternoon where Hatomim Levi Shollar chazered a maamar. On Motzai Shabbos there was a grand Melava Malka which included a sicha of the Rebbe, Divrei Torah by Dr Chaim Oster, president of Yeshiva Schools, Rabbi Mendel Unsdorfer, assistant Menahel and Rabbi Yisroel Altein. Then there was a father-son game arranged by the Shluchim.
On Sunday morning the fathers learned seder chassidus with their sons and davened together. That was followed by a gourmet breakfast.
As one father said, “It is wonderful to see the Achdus among the Bochurim and the Yachas and closeness of the Hanhala with the Bochurim.”
It was an inspiring and uplifting Shabbos for all, B”H!
