Rabbi Wilhelm of Kiryat Sefer worked on and off as a mashgiach of kashrus in Europe. Though the work and separation from his family was hard, the income supported his wife and 9 children. However one trip to Europe would unexpectedly be his last.
He was in a devastating car crash, which instantly catapulted him into a coma. He was flown to Israel, where family members sat by his motionless side for 4 long years. Two months ago, he passed away, leaving wife Shifra and 9 kids behind.
Shifra is now doing her best to keep the family afloat, including making a wedding for 19-year-old engaged son Yossi. With the chagim quickly approaching, she has run out of options. She has now launched a simple fundraising campaign, complete with a hamlatza from Rav Kessler of Kiryat Sefer, in hopes of giving her family some relief.
Her goal is simple: Give her family the opportunity to grieve in peace, if only for a short time.
