The village of Kfar Chabad was just one of the many areas in Israel to be affected by a barrage of rockets fired by Arab terrorists in Gaza on Wednesday.
Residents were in the middle of Shachris prayers when the Air Raid Sirens went off alerting them to a rocket coming their way. Still wearing tallis and tefillin, they rushed to a nearby bomb shelter.
Other areas targeted throughout the day in Hamas’ continued assault on civilian population were Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Herzliya, Givat Shmuel, as well as southern cities such as Be’er Sheva, Lakiya and Bedouin settlements in the Negev.
Just prior to the long-range rocket fire at central Israel, a heavy barrage of rockets was fired at Jewish communities near Gaza, including Nirim, Ashkelon, Nir Am, Kfar Aza, Nahal Oz, Ashdod, Sdeh Eliyahu and Sderot, Hamodia reported.
The rockets have been disrupting the lives of Israelis across the country with families spending the nights in shelters and school days being canceled, in addition to the killing and injuries.
In Kfar Chabad, 13-year-old Yechiel Segal was looking forward to celebrating his Bar Mitzvah on Wednesday. The attacks have led to halls canceling events and professionals to postpone their services.
After the rocket over Kfar Chabad was thankfully intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, the boy’s father R’ Yisroel Segal decided to organize a spontaneous party.
The family set up plastic tables and chairs in the backyard and served a full meal to the Bar Mitzvah boy, his classmates, teachers and a few neighbors. They danced with great joy that Israel will overcome its ruthless adversaries.
