Miryam, just thought to retell your story Friday night, and admit – curiosity of a little girl’s vivid memory, did get the better of me… – the beautiful silk bedspread… does the family still have it? Because it may seem like just a remnant (saved at the last moment) – the randomly saved bit of all the belongings your mother A”H had, but could it be symbolic and so poignantly a reminder of so much more..? The words in Eishes Chayil ..מרבדים עשתה לה, seem to reverberate and echo, in your stirring recollection of your mother in those moments… And… Read more »
I cried throughout, especially since I had the privilege to know your mother. Though I heard this before I know what a proud and clever woman your mother was. I think not only you live by this motto, but we can all take a lesson from it. Chazki Veamtzi!
u all realize that it wan’t easy to tell the story, and every comment made it worth while.
thank you, all of you for your warmth and acceptance.

Thank you for sharing such a difficult memory whose message resonates in the most universal way possible – family first and last. I cannot stop crying, you touched me very deeply. Thank you so much for these moments with lesson for future.
