Family and friends of R’ Shloime Drimmer obm gathered for an event marking his first Yartzeit on Sunday evening at Lubavitch Yeshiva in Crown Heights.
R’ Shloime was a business owner and longtime activist in Crown Heights. He was a known baal Chesed who assisted many mosdos and individuals.
During the event, R’ Shloime’s family, friends, and associates spoke about his kindness, wisdom, and generosity. They noted that R’ Shloime was a true chosid, dedicated to the Rebbe and to supporting his mosdos.
His wife Chaya, who was always at his side in all his endeavors, spoke emotionally and thanked all their friends and family for their support.
Speakers told how R’ Shloime was very proud of being a direct descendant of the famed posek R’ Shloime Drimmer, and how he loved learning Torah and supported the printing of many Seforim.
R’ Shloime’s son-in-law, Rabbi Mayer Preger, was the MC for the event, and introduced the speakers, including family members R’ Shloime’s son Levi Drimmer, son Avrohom (Ama) Drimmer, grandson Mordechai Piekarski and nephew Mr. Erez Gilad.
Speakers included Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky – Vice Chairman of Merkos, who is a friend and neighbor of the Drimmers, as well as friends of R’ Shloime, Rabbi Mendel Schneerson, Reb Eli Slavin, Rabbi Baruch Stein, Rabbi Ephraim Koshiezky and Rabbi Hershel Weiss.

and very special too.
May he continue being a Meilitz Yosher for his family and klall Yisroel !!!
I remember and knew him as Ralph from yeshiva days (I was fairly younger), a beautiful person, always with a smile. My friendship continued on when he was in Judaica on Kingston Ave, always welcoming and a pleasure spending time with him (and getting a good deal).
In the later years I received from him the special Seforim authored by Horav Shloime Drimmer Z”L (his Zeida), reedited and reprinted with Ralph’s generosity.
Is sorely missed by me and all. א טייערע איד און חסיד.
They don’t make them like that anymore!

He was a special man
Moshiach now
I used to spend a lot of time in his shop shmoozing. 1971 as a bochur. A very nice and good person. When I got engaged I came into the shop and he gave me a lovely silverplated tray.for candlesticks which I still use. A real mench. Should be a מליץ יושר.
