Hundreds of students from Bais Rivkah in Crown Heights gathered in the Rosa Hall for a viewing of the Chidon finale, followed by a trophy and award ceremony for the participants and their proud parents.
Prizes, plaques, and trophies were awarded amid great fanfare by Bais Rivkah’s Chidon coordinators Mrs. Esther Wilhelm and Devorah Leah Austin.
The grand Chidon finale was the culmination of many months of studying a dedicated curriculum that focuses on the facts, information and reasons behind all 613 Mitzvahs.
During the live broadcast, teams of finalists competed for the highly sought-after Chidon champion title.
Some of the biggest stars in Jewish music today have joined the performance to make it one of the premier events on the community calendar. Avraham Fried, Benny Friedman, Bentzi, Eli and Shmuli Marcus and Simche Friedman will be accompanied by show host Choni Milecki and the Mendy Hershkowitz orchestra, to entertain the 250,000+ on-line viewers.
More than 300 participating schools in 34 countries and numerous cities around the globe have sent representatives to showcase the in-depth Torah learning and knowledge the students have acquired.
Chidon / Siyum Hamitzvos is a project of Tzivos Hashem and Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch. The Chidon is dedicated by Mr. George Rohr in loving memory of Mrs. Sara Rohr.

Thanks for being so dedicated literally day and night all year to chidon even though it wasnt easy but you knew how much rabbi zushe wilhelm loved when children learned for chidon and wanted them to be rewarded. You keep inspiring us with the special connection you have with each student and you made such a beautiful celebration for our girls in bais rivkah. We are so lucky you are there to encourage our girls to use their free time to learn and grow. Thanks for loving our children.
