The Kempinski Palace hotel in the Slovenian beach-front city of Portoroz, played host to this year’s 4th annual European Jewish Retreat.
Men and women from all over Europe spent the June 24-27 weekend with insightful lectures, superb kosher cuisine and entertainment in the opulent surroundings.
Among the inspiring speakers were Israel’s former Chief Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, Mill Hill London synagogue Rabbi Yitzchak Schochet, Mrs. Shimona Tzukernik, Mr. Shmuel Cohen and Dr. Gill Heart.
The guests enjoyed a boat ride and walking tour in the nearby town of Piran with the presence of Chief Rabbi Lau.
It was organized by the Brussels-based European Jewish Study Network, headed by Rabbi Sholom Liberow, and coordinated by Fleishman Productions.
No event is complete without a good dose of Jewish entertainment. Dedi, popular Jewish singer from Israel, led a sing-a-long concert on Sunday evening.

August 16th JLI is making an amazing luxury retreat at the Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. I heard the prices are really cheap. The website is http://Jretreat.com
stop being jealous!!!
dont worry, there were enough ppl there…and why do u think the black hats were there, if not to bring other ppl with them?
so if ur too silly to understand, better dont post!!!
seems like an amazing event. everything so wow. must be expensive but I don’t see a lot of people, and many black hats making up numbers. this must mean that people are paying much to cover cost or it loses much money. maybe sponsorship. something this high calibre needs many people. we could use it here in USA
This event looks even better than ever! The program and trip too. Also like the little trays for the candles and everything else! Keep up the good work! See you next week iyh;)
dearest shuli and leahle
