Eric Adams, who is running for Mayor of New York City, has opened a campaign office in Crown Heights on Friday.
Adams opened the office on Nostrand Avenue flanked by elected officials and supporters.
Crown Heights activists Yaacov Behrman and Avi Lesches were in attendance at the event.
Adams has a longtime relationship with the Crown Heights community, having served as New York State Senator in Brooklyn’s 20th District from 2006 to 2013, and more recently as Brooklyn Borough President.
“The office will aim to reach out to our community and help us elect Eric as NYC’s mayor,” Lesches told COLlive. “In times like these, it’s important that we work together as one community for the betterment of our community.”
“Eric chose to open his Brooklyn Headquarters here because he not only lives here, but because Crown Heights is a place that is representative of all of Brooklyn,” Lesches said. “So what a more fitting place for him, his team, and fellow New Yorkers to come together to help him become the next mayor than here.”

Don’t support this panderer , did you see his video with the Muslim community ? Jews are not his concern , stop being naive ..
Although we here are going through a difficult time with our muslim neighbors, does not mean ALL MUSLIMS ARE BAD. As candidate for NYC of course he needs to connect with the muslim community; they are a significant population of this city. In fact better he should connect with them that he has a positive influence on him. But please keep in mind, candidate Adams some years back was our NYS Senator and was there for our community front and center. In judging a candidate, we need to look at the full picture. Yang is the new kid on the… Read more »
Vote for the only mayoral candidate that is brave enough to support Israel #Yang2021
“Today on Yom Yerushalayim, Israel came under attack from Hamas-fired rockets in Gaza. Israelis live under the constant threat of terrorism and war and New York City’s bond with Israel remains unbreakable. I stand shoulder to shoulder with the people Israel at this time of crisis.”
Unlike yang, he didn’t backtrack and fold under pressure after that tweet…
Like all of today’s politicians, he tells each group what they want to hear. And like most politicians today, it’s all a bunch of empty words and empty promises…
Eric Adams is the only candidate who stood up for Israel and didn’t apologize for it! He is the best candidate out there by far for our community!
The Democrat party is a disgrace. Vote for what? Vote for who? They will just support their base their radical base. The Jewish vote means nothing to them
What is his program?
Our parks are not developed, homeless people are on the streets and no lights. Eastern parkway not lighted at night at all not any intersections.
Lefferts park has zero space
Not safety on the streets and anti Semitic & hate crime
What was done by all these politics? What he is offering our CH ?
Vote on June 22! Eric Adams by far seems to be the best choice, and it is only if we vote that our community concerns will be heard….
He is Pro Israel and Pro Yeshivah .
He is not your typical politician. He is a breath of fresh air with fresh and novel ideas like UBI.
I donated to his presidential campaign because he is the only candidate that can see how automation will displace many jobs and UBI is one of the only policies that can deal automation displacing jobs.
He is extremely intelligent with many well thought out policies that is based on science and data and not based on blind ideology.
Hope he wins.
Pay attention; he is not from here but just jumped in when he lost the Presidential candidacy. What is really his agenda remains to be seen and I for one am not waiting for it.
