Mrs. Elizabeth Yahilevich, a beautician who had many clients in Crown Heights in the 1980’s and 90’s, including Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson, wife of the Rebbe, passed away on Shushan Purim, 15 Adar, 5783.
She was 96.
Elizabeth was a member of the Chabad community in Brighton Beach and merited to have a warm and special relationship with the Rebbetzin.
She is survived by her nephews Hershel Fridman of Crown Heights and Mottel Vigdorchik of Brighton Beach.
Per the family’s request, they wish to express deepest gratitude for the Rebbe’s Shliach to Brighton Beach, Rabbi Okunov and Mr. Danial Jacobson of Kehila Chapels for arranging this levaya in such a respectful and dignified manner.
Levaya to be held tomorrow on Thursday, March 9 – 2:00 PM at Wellwood (Beth Moses) cemetery, 1500 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704.

Rabbi Dovid Okunov takes heartfelt interest in his congregants and people from far and wide. He invested time and effort helping Elizabeth A”H before and after her passing. He is a true Shliach and Rabbi, pride of his family and Chabad.
Mr. Daniel Jacobson of Kehila Chapels is a true Mentch. He was gracious in arranging Elizebeth’s funeral with dignity and alacrity. May Hashem Bless him!
