A new Sefer Torah was completed on Tuesday, Yud Alef Nissan, at the Chabad House in Rechovot, Israel, led by Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Mendelsohn.
The Torah was welcomed to the Chabad Shul Birchat Baruch, named in memory of Rabbi Boruch Eisenberg OBM, who passed away last year, and his wife Bracha Rochel OBM.
Dedicating it was their children Yossi Eisenberg of Kfar Chabad, Chana Dayan of Kiryat Gat, Rachamim Eisenberg of Kfar Chabad, Rivkah Holzman of Crown Heights, Shmulik Eisenberg of Rechovot, Miri Dunin of Kiryat Malachi, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The new Torah was completed in the Nachlas Har Chabad neighborhood at the Eisenberg home, where friends, relatives, community members, and public officials gathered to inscribe letters.
The Torah was then brought to Rechovot where the final letters were written at the home of the lead donor, R’ Shmuel Eisenberg.
Hundreds of community members came out to participate in the grand celebration and tahalucha with joyous singing and dancing.
The Torah was then led to the Shul for joyous hakafos followed by a festive seudah and Farbrengen, coordinated by Tzvaim Productions.
