The 6th Annual Kinus Mechanchos Chabad held this week at the Crowne Plaza in Stamford, Connecticut has once again gathered principals, educators and teachers at educational institutions of Chabad.
It was organized by the Menachem Education Foundation (MEF) whose mission is to be the best champions of Chabad students.
“We accomplish this goal by working with Chabad schools to raise the bar of learning and empower teachers and leaders,” says MEF’s Executive Director Rabbi Zalman Shneur.
After davening and reading a joint ‘pan’ at the Rebbe’s Ohel, participants arrived at the hotel and sat for lunch and a warm welcome by Mrs. Chanah Rose and a speech titled “Geulah in Our Lives” by Chani Katzman.
What followed were lectures and sessions covering a range of levels of Chinuch including Early Childhood, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and High School and administration.
Along the presenters in the first slate were Mrs. Devoiry Schwei, Mrs. Shaindy Schapiro, Rabbi Yaakov K. Chaiton, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky and Mrs. Sara Blau. A panel discussion was titled “The Shlichus of the General Studies Teacher.”
The second and third slate of presenters on Wednesday included Mrs. Batsheva Moully, Dr. Debby Ackerman, Mrs. Dena Rosenfeld, Mrs. Chedvy Baras, Mrs. Malkie Gurkow, Mrs. Chanie Pinson, Mrs. Sarale Benshimon and Mrs. Chanie Geisinsky.
As a fully immersive retreat, the Kinus gave educators the opportunity to refresh and rejuvenate in an elegant atmosphere, while gaining tools for the coming school year. One relaxing session was “Art and Learn: Painting Your Way to Geulah” where participants used their creative side to paint.
