WHEN A CHILD PUSHES THEIR HEAD THROUGH BARS

This happened to one of my son’s, 27 yrs ago, when he was 3yrs old. He pushed his head through the bars of a park gate. I immediately called 9-11; calmed him down as best I could; & used my RN-brain cells, to turn his body sideways & get him to move like an Egyptian through the bars in the direction of where his head was. B”H…all ended well, just in time as the Paranedics arrived. One must “never” attempt to bring a child back in the direction from where they’ve come. Their ears are in the way, as well… Read more »

Pull the child's body through

The head can’t fit through, but the body can. Simply turn the child sideways and pull their body out. Simple.
