Due to a marathon which will go through Crown Heights on Shabbos, residents will not be able to cross Eastern Parkway from 3:00 am to 9:30 am.
The marathon will end on Eastern Parkway and Kingston. Bochurim who want to cross to Oholei Torah can cross on Kingston Ave.
Eastern Parkway and Brooklyn is within the marathon route and will be closed to pedestrian traffic.
“Last year the marathon ended on Albany Avenue, and Kingston was closed. This caused a difficulty and people weren’t able to cross at Kingston to get into 770,” community activist Yaakov Behrman told COLlive. “This year, after input from community leaders through the Mayor’s Office it was moved up a block so people can cross at Kingston Avenue.”
Please see maps below for more information.
At least it wasn’t shabbos mevorchim so shul started after the race was over, and most of us were spared having to see this untznius spectacle.
Move this marathon to Atlantic ave and let those nitwits run around there.
The Finish point is only half mile away from Starting point but they make them go all over Brooklyn to get there.
