There are two types of OTD’S 1) (the minority of them) The kid who is mature and u can see has made his decision! And he is not interested in the Jewish lifestyle, and we cannot and should not force him. Because ultimately it is his decision what he wants his life to be like! Thank you for empowering the kids instead of playing the blame game and assigning fault to everyone else. It IS each individuals choices (no matter how difficult) that determine where they are headed in life. But what’s with your reference to ‘elderly’..?

How frum a person may be effected by the people they surround themselves but ultimately it is there decisions. (3) I don’t doubt you’ve seen people be influenced by teachers and close friends, yet it is each individual persons decision to let these experiences and friends shape there life style.
Kids Going OFF the Derech can be influenced by close friends, as well as parents teachers and rabbies…..I have seen it through and through and it gets worse and worse….unfortunately.
Majority kids at risk are a product of our broken system when 5-600 Kids start the system and only 70 “Finish” we got a serious issue
Kids do not FALL off the derech, parents, teachers and Rabbeim PUSH off the derech.
