The fourth annual Kinus Mechanchos Chabad is offering a full track for Early Childhood Educators, including workshops, networking and general sessions, after a successful similar track last year.
The Kinus takes place on 12-13 Tammuz / July 15-16 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stamford, Connecticut. A special low price makes teachers, assistants, directors, and playgroup leaders of this age group even more welcome.
The Menachem Education Foundation (MEF), which organizes the kinus, is teaming up with the Chabad Early Childhood Education (CECE) Network of the Shluchim Office to ensure that the programming meets the needs of Early Childhood educators.
Workshops offered include the foundations of Kriah with Mrs. Nechamy Segal, curriculum mapping with Mrs. Chanie Feldman, and sensory integration with Occupational Therapist Mrs. Zahava Friedman, as well as sessions for all Mechanchos with Mrs. Malka Touger, Mrs. Vivi Deren, Dr. Akiva Perlman and others.
Mrs. Devora Krasnianski, who heads CECE, will present an exclusive session for Early Childhood directors. The general highlights of the program will include a Gala Chinuch Banquet, farbrengens focusing on the vital Shlichus of Chinuch, individual mentoring and private swimming times.
The Early Childhood track is being chaired by Mrs. Chaya Light, director of Cheder Chabad of Monsey’s preschool division. She worked with committee members Mrs. Chedvi Baras, Mrs. Sara Chuzhin, Mrs. Bashi Levilev and Mrs. Krasnianski to build the multifaceted program, and plans to attend twenty of her own staff members to the Kinus.
“We tried to make sure the track will be multifaceted and cover many areas pertaining to the preschool classroom,” says Mrs. Light. “These include Chassidishe environment, social-emotional needs, academics and other areas.”
Last year’s participants attested to the practical skills as well as inspiration that they gained.
“I gained much from the Kriah tips,” says Mrs. Chanie Levin of Los Angeles, “which are currently helping all the students, but especially those that need more help.”
A director in the tri-state area emphasized, “Meeting other preschool directors all with the same goals really helped me feel supported in the balancing act we face daily.”
Now, all early childhood educators can join the convention at the exclusive low price of $139, all-inclusive (a $90 discount from the full conference price). Simply sign up with the discount code CECE139 at www.chinuchconvention.org
