Dr. Yaakov Harrison, a doctor of alternative medicine who was active in the community in Miami Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, 21 Cheshvan 5782.
He was 78.
An orphaned Holocaust survivor who grew up in Australia, Dr. Yaakov Harrison was a brilliant man. He began his professional career finishing top of his class at one of the best aerospace engineering schools in the United States.
Later in life, he moved into alternative health, studying many different aspects in all fields of alternative medicine. He loved to help other people and threw himself into various community projects in his hometown of Miami Beach, FL.
He was a loving and devoted husband and doted on his children and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Ruth Harrison and children Esther Laber (Chicago, Illinois), Devorah Rutman (Kiev, Ukraine), Rabbi Dovid Harrison (Red Bank, NJ), Yossi Harrison (Brooklyn, NY), Mendy Harrison (Montana) and many grandchildren.
The Levaya will take place tomorrow, Friday 9:45 AM passing by 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn.
