The crumbling courtyard wall at 770 Eastern Parkway, in a decrepit shape because of a water drainage problem, is being shored up and repaired with a second brick wall that will be covered with the original red bricks.
Since there are no companies who make such bricks today, all of the original bricks needed to be retained in order to properly restore the wall, individuals behind the repairs the said.
A number of the bricks were stolen when the construction began, until organizers made a public call to have them returned. Some have still not been returned.
Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky, director of the Machne Israel Development Fund, is heading up the project.
He thanked the donors who have already stepped up to kick start this project.
“With all the funding not yet committed,” says Rabbi Shmaya, “and with further infrastructure repairs sorely needed on the exteriors of 770 and the office complex, Machne Israel is accepting donations from individuals who are seeking to donate to this cause.”
Contributions can be made at Bedek Habayis: https://lubavitch.com/donate.html, or contact Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky at: [email protected], or at 718-774-4000.

These brick were not special order you mean to tell me there i not one building being torn down with the sme bricks
Alot of the bricks are broken from the demo. Reb Chaim Boruch was happy to give me a small piece and and ask me to donate which of course I was happy to do. They should gather all the small peices and sell them starting at $100 Etc.
I’m sure the shluchim will be happy to donate and take them back to their Chabad houses.Next week. This will pay for a beautiful wall.
PS There was no supervision. The big wooden box in which these are being held was open. They should secure it immediately.
