The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) is repaving sections of Crown Street in Crown Heights this week, and residents are being advised to move their vehicles ahead of time to avoid towing.
Notices have been posted warning that cars left on the street after 6:00 AM on the scheduled repaving days will be towed.
Tomorrow, Monday, work will take place on Crown Street from New York Avenue to Nostrand Avenue, as well as on half of Crown Street between Brooklyn and New York Avenues. Vehicles should be moved tonight to ensure they are not towed in the morning.
On Wednesday, repaving is scheduled for Crown Street from Albany Avenue to New York Avenue. The closure of most of Crown Street is expected to cause heavy traffic congestion throughout the neighborhood. Residents are encouraged to walk and avoid driving in the area if possible.
