In a heartfelt appeal to the community, Chevra Simchas Shabbos V’Yom Tov (CSSY) has launched its 6th annual summer campaign, “Just One Shabbos,” to provide Shabbos meals to struggling families in Crown Heights. As the summer heat intensifies, so does the stress faced by families grappling with limited resources to feed, clothe, and entertain their children. CSSY is asking community members to step up and sponsor at least one Shabbos for a local family, making a tangible difference in their lives.
During the school year, many children rely on school for nutritious meals. Parents can often work additional jobs while their children are in school, but when summer arrives, these circumstances present new challenges. The “Just One Shabbos” campaign aims to alleviate the burden on families during this critical period, providing essential food and emergency funds to ensure their well-being.
CSSY, established at the behest of the Rebbe to provide for Crown Heights families, has been at the forefront of providing for our own community for decades. With your participation in this summer campaign, you have the power to make a profound impact. The families CSSY assists are not strangers; they are your community, your friends, and your neighbors.
