The synagogue that was completely destroyed, the contributors who volunteered, and the Chabadnik who supplied the merchandise…
The police station in Sderot was completely destroyed on the Sunday following the Simchat Torah celebration, following the escalation of the Hamas attacks.
Inside the Sderot police station, there was a Shul that served the police officers for prayer, which was also completely destroyed.
The Israeli police turned to businessman Ariel Nachum for help, who enlisted the assistance of several donors from the United States. Through their efforts, they quickly acquired equipment for a new Shul that would serve the police and soldiers in the city of Sderot.
The contributors responded to the request, and the company “Mataniah,” specializing in unique and high-quality furniture for Shuls, owned by a member of the Chabad community in Cholon, Rabbi Meir Turkov, along with the “Levi” company, accepted the challenge. This week, the Shul was renovated and restored, equipped with an Aron Kodesh and a magnificent Bima as befitting a holy place.
