That is questionable. Like the author said, the reactions are different to each person. I know some people who are not even effected at all.

Is Marijuana really the issue?
June 17, 2019 2:27 pm

Teenagers should not even know what weed is! They should be in Yeshiva taking the real deal drugs- Torah.
Hashem Yishmor what has the world turned into?

Find me a teen in Crown Heights that never heard of weed.

My father was not so frum. However, when it came to drugs, he was

This isn’t just a saying, it is scientifically proven. We have to show the kids the facts so that they open up their eyes and make the right decisions iy”h

This is a interesting article that happened to coincide with a JEM video that was put out this past week. There was a individual who asked the Rebbe if drugs were a good thing. If getting high off of marijuana was something that can be productive. The Rebbe answered this person that marijuana is not a substance that should be used because it is external and when one wants to grab onto that external feeling it then disappear into nothingness. This “spiritual high” comes from the outside dark source. When a person internalizes and works hard on themselves they will… Read more »

Legalization has nothing to do with teenagers

If it’s legal – means it’s under control, not just distribution but also the manufacturer , and like cigarettes no one can sell it to minors. Does it stop them from smoking yes and no, but there is a law. Same with weed.
Education and healthy choices in life can stop it.
Yes CH smells, hopefully kids will be busy with something else- promote free social clubs for our kids to keep them busy.

You tell a teen that weed is “toxic” they will laugh you out of the room. Also, just because it was illegal for 80 plus years does not make it “toxic” and deserving of being the category of a class one drug. Granted teens do not use it for therapeutic reasons, but to say it is “toxic” you will get at best an eye roll or they will outright call you nuts. It is a different world now and to wish for teens to not know what it is or not google anything or talk about it with their friends… Read more »

It's no better then cigarettes
June 20, 2019 12:31 pm

You don’t see or hear anyone campaigning to convince people that cigarettes are OK or ‘just something we have to get used to seeing kids smoke” these days.
Yet Pot is no better.
But so many who won’t tolerate cigarettes are arguing so strongly against anyone who points out the evils and dangers, of Pot.
