For around 8 months, the Rebbe Rashab stayed in Wurzburg, a city in Germany’s Bavaria region in the year 5667. The purpose, as he has written in a letter, was to rest for health purposes.
A few months earlier, the Russian town of Lubavitch suffered a few shocking events. Youngsters from a Zionist group led a pogrom on the home of the Rebbe Rashab and the courtyard of the Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim.
Upon the advice of “the great professors,” the Rebbe Rashab traveled to Germany. His son and eventual successor, the Rebbe Rayatz, joined him from the month of Kislev until the end of the year.
When each of the Rebbes arrived, they needed to register their visit with local authorities. The 2-page document took their personal and public information and was personally signed with their holy signatures.
While most of the city’s archives were destroyed over the year, their documents have been preserved ad were recently brought to Rabbi Shlomo Bistritzky, Chief Rabbi and Shliach of Hamburg.
Published in the Sukkos edition of the Kfar Chabad magazine, the documents note that both the Rebbe Rashab and the Rebbe Rayatz were “vaccinated” with 2 portions. “Vaccinated times two,” it was written.
The magazine wrote that “Apparently, these are the vaccines against the “smallpox” disease, which killed not long before, at its peak towards the end of the 18th century, more than 400,000 people in continental Europe each year.”
This is amazing!! If this doesn’t encourage vaccination within this community then we are truly lost.
To move to Wurzburg for 8 months each year
the difference between a vaccine that was extensively tested (by 1907 the smallpox vaccine had been used for over a century) and one that has not. Or between one for a disease that killed 30% or more of those who caught it and disfigured many others, and one with less than 0.5% fatality rate. Try to use some common sense.
The world is advancing quicker than you think. Bh it takes much shorter than a century to create a vaccine now
this article may prove getting vaccinated with the routine shots such as measles or tetanus but the covid vax is a whole different story
stop the brainwash.
Everybody gets vaccinated for the regular stuff even the Rabbein!
Why does that mean that the Corona vaccine is safe? Is covid-19 even the same effects to children?
This is interesting but it doesn’t mean that those people that are concerned about the Corona virus vaccine are against the rabbeim
yes it does
Of course they did, only bc WhatsApp wasn’t invented then. Don’t you get it, had WhatsApp been invented they would have never gotten the vaccine bc the real know it all’s would have spread the word.
Hate doctors until you need them for good ole fashion things like diabetes heart disease and cancer – lots of Teshuva still to be done.
Did the smallpox vaccine have side effects? If so, they were (a) minor, and (b) not remotely comparable to the chances of dying or being disfigured by the disease itself. Now contrast with the Wuhan Flu “vaccine,” whose side effects are at least as bad as the disease it’s supposed to help against, which actually doesn’t do anything against said disease (otherwise you wouldn’t have all the nervous nellies complaining about how the unvaccinated endanger them), and which is for a disease with a fatality rate of about 0.2%.
The smallpox vaccine had death as a side effect for the first while.
(During early inoculations the death rate was something like 1 in 50 IIRC)
Even today its pretty scary to read.
Here’s some info:

AND STILL THE RABBEIM TOOK THEM
If your from LUBAvitch…then you would consider other four letter words to express your or in this case projection on others. Hate leaves NO room for LOVE
Spot on!
There are plenty of doctors who do not agree with the covid 19 vaccine. No one hates doctors, everyone has the right to follow the opinion that resonates with them. It has nothing to do with WhatsApp, but maybe that’s where you are getting your info. “Follow the science” has become the slogan. There isn’t just one science, just cause fauci says something doesn’t make it the only science to exist. There is plenty plenty data, info, true things you can find all over, like the fda website, that are extremely concerning. You want to get it – great, enjoy… Read more »
Every person in ex Soviet Union was vaccinated against smallpox, with an old fashion reliable vaccine, the genetic mrna vaccine is something new.
The old fashioned vaccines were way less sophisticated then today’s.
But even so if you don’t want MRNA, take J&J, AstraZeneca, or sputnik (for you weird Russia lovers) all of them are old fashioned.
Sputnik, J&J and AstraZeneca aren’t old fashioned, they use the same RNA tech to get the body to become a factory for spike proteins. Only difference (and it’s a minor one) is they don’t use nanogel to get the RNA in your cells.
Of doctors saying NOT to take the covid vaxx, why do I need to listen to your doctor?? This is reply to above post
What exactly it’s the document about?
Today’s covid vaccines they would not take. They are laden with every kind of danger causing deaths and adverse reactions. They are wise enough to know the dangers against their lives and would guard their lives, unlike the stupid of today who line up to get it for free frickin donuts. Idiots. What’s this world coming to?
There is a major difference between the the vaccine then that was tested and approved after years of testing unlike this vaccine that was not tested , also No one is against all vaccines rather this specific one.
This was in Europe, they had no FDA.
was tested on at least 450,000 people before it was given to the general public
Many of you are missing the time,
This is not a conversation about pro- vaccine. That is addressed in Igros of our Rebbe, (al tifrosh min hatizbur).
The point here is the Rabbiem decleared their medical history, in a govenment document. Maybe we should not be so anti vax passports.
The first vaccine developed was the smallpox vaccine in 1796. That was about 10 years before 5667.
I think you meant to say 110 years before.
Were probably more reliable than our corrupt politicians
I know that taking THIS vaccine makes you magnetic, sterile and glow in the dark. Long term effects are still unknown but indications suggest werewolf attributes (howling at full moons). Interesting that anti-vaxxers are pro-eruv, with limited exceptions for those living in odd numbered homes facing south. This is due to exposure to ultraviolet sun light. A New Deli study proves this.
And The Rebbe Rayatz also used to smoke and stopped the moment he heard it wasn’t good for him. Just because the Rebbeim do it then doesn’t mean they would advise to do so today.
Between 1796 and 1907 there was plenty of time to test them to know they are safe and effective.
Whether you agree with getting the covid one or not, you can agree that there is no proof for the covid one from this story of the rebbeim.
Perhaps for the elapsed time between 1796 and 1907 it proves to wait.
