Dinner Salutes 23 Shlichus Years

Having relocated to their new campus a few years ago, Chabad of the North Shore in Australia now serves the community in a wide variety of Jewish life cycle events and needs.

Among them are educational programming, youth camps, early childe hood development, adult education, teen programming and above all the mission of connecting Jews to their heritage.

A recent dinner marking 23 years was both a celebration of achievements past and a call to action for the potential ahead while mindful of the ever present challenges of a difficult global economy.

The love and outpouring of good will and affection for Rabbi Nochum and Fruma Shapiro was abundant as attendees enjoyed a magnificent menu and camaraderie.

Toronto based virtuoso pianist, Gershon Wachtel provided a perfect ambiance before people heard moving and inspiring words from both Rabbi and Rebbeztin Shapiro.

The keynote address for the evening was delivered by renowned business speaker and author, Kivi Bernhard who passionately empowered people with Jewish pride and the need to continue to grow and develop as the “global lamp lighters Jews were designed to be.”

Much work and effort went into making this evening a huge success for all and yet another example of the vision the Rebbe had for Shluchim and Shluchos the world over.
