Devoted Shliach, Father of 6, has Rare Cancer

After the sudden and tragic loss of the Shliach to Nahariya, Rabbi Yisrael Butman OB”M, Rabbi Chaim Krishevsky was called in, to manage the many institutions in the city under the main shliach Rabbi Baruch Wilhelm.

In order to take care of the institutions’ everyday needs and special events, an enormous budget is required. Under the financial burden and the flow of cash pressure, Rabbi Chaim heroically manages the empire of the institutions, hiding from his everyone the financial burden that he is carrying on day by day.

About six months ago, after complaining of puzzling back pain and undergoing several tests, cancer was discovered in his young body. The disease, it turns out, appeared in the form of a rare gene that appears in older populations and not in the young age of Rabbi Chaim. Conventional treatment and expensive biologists were the first treatments he got, but unfortunately, there was no effect and somehow even increased the cancer’s cell grip, and unfortunately, other systems were found to be damaged.

Rabbi Chaim’s brothers were doing their best and used every possible source of funding to pay for the first treatments he went through. They did not spare any opinion and diagnosis. After bringing the case to an American professor, an expert recommended a “genetically matched” treatment that could save a Chaim’s life and defeat the destructive cells.
