Gov. Kathy Hochul cruised to an easy victory in Tuesday’s Democratic primary election, setting her up to seek a full term in November after taking office last year when former Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned.
Hochul — New York’s first female governor — held a 65% to 22% lead over city Public Advocate Jumaane Williams with outgoing US Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-Long Island) trailing both at 13% with 18% of the precincts reporting when the Associated Press called the race.
Hochul, 63, consistently led the pre-election polls, with the most recent putting her a staggering 36 percentage points ahead of Suozzi.
Hochul received “unprecedented universal” support from major Orthodox Jewish voting blocs.
The Crown Heights PAC – Political Action Committee endorsed Hochul in the election.
Hochul secured endorsements for her reelection campaign from both communities of Satmar, building support with a voting bloc with tens of thousands of voters.
Representatives of 28 Chassidic communities and schools in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn endorsed Hochul and her running mate, Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado, for re-election in the June 28 primary.
These include all mosdos in Borough Park, Satmar aronim, all mosdos and sects in Williamsburg, Satmar Zali’s, Bobov, New Square, Pupa, all mosdos in Monsey and the village of Kiryas Joel.
At the post-election party, the Governor thanked Chanina Sperlin of the Crown Heights PAC for the support in Crown Heights, and for being the first Orthodox Jewish endorsement.
Remember who you voted for when you fill up your car
If it doesn’t get stolen or carjacked first…
And thats it.
Great crime
Great grime.
Great blight.
Great far left policies.
Is it time.to vote republican?
Vote Libertarian!
Libertarian as in we only care about ourselves? Middos of S’dom political party? Libertarians are against giving any foreign aid at all (including Israel). Not that the US should fund the world but there is such a concept as having good international relations. If all the Libertarians would just vote Republican then the Democrats wouldn’t have the stronghold they do. Start with baby steps. Don’t vote Democrat. Vote Republican. Once people see law and order, low taxes, low crime, etc., they’ll be more likely to consider moving to Libertarian. For now, though, Libertarian candidates just mess things up for the… Read more »
Libertarians believe in INDIVIDUAL Liberty. They believe in the freedoms of the constitution. The right and left wing are just two sides of the “ruin the country” coin.
Also, may be time to get rid of this entire left crown heights council and put in people who can’t be bribed an care about their community rather than just themselves!how. An a frum Jew – much less a chabadnik support one who has no problem with killing babies, or poisoning our childrens neshomos? Amongst other atrocious policies.
Absolutely! Time to vote Republican. Time to stop groveling for a few bucks from these shysters. Time to get rid of bad prosecutors and “woke” Dems.
No way I’m voting for her in the general election!
Now that this silly showboat primary smilefest is over it’s time to take this seriously and to vote for a candidate who is more likely to hold by Torah values. It’s time to get off of the Democratic plantation, take a chance and vote for Zeldin. You’ll see lower crime and lower taxes to start with, to the extent Mr. Mayor (Eric DiBlasio Adams) will play along. As long as you have Cuomo (Hochul is just Cuomo Jr.) as Governor you’ll enjoy “gun free” zones where law abiding citizens can’t carry, high taxes, high crime, etc. Why don’t you New… Read more »
Sleep as much as you can now, because if she gets in, heaven forbid, you’ll be spending EVERY SINGLE night kicking yourself for assisting her to get in
I wonder who will win in November!
She became Governor because Cuomo resigned, thus I believe the term re-elected is false. This is the first time her name will be at the top of the ticket
It’s a tactic used to sneak somebody in.
Pressure somebody to resign (or they mess themselves up and resign).
Next, appoint somebody (or if it’s not an appointed position it’s the lieutenant or vice position).
Push for their “re-election.”
This could be the path to a President Kamala Harris, G-d forbid!
Our left wing disgraceful council backed deblazio and adams….that should tell you what great (not) judgement they have to now support a blatant liberal!
Disgrace !!! Jews don’t learn their lesson you will learn the hard way . You are naive and blind to see what is happening before your eyes …
Let’s end this madness by voting for Lee Zeldin in November!!
Only the community members in the pictures will have any benefit if she gets into office. Try getting any one of our “community leaders” to help the general constituancy with anything at all. Good Luck!! I’m definitely not voting for Kathy Hochul.
She has my vote
choice in many different areas of life – school choice, Wuhan flu vaccine choice, etc.? Or only the type that involves killing off an inconvenient potential human life?
Does this mean that NYS is going to change its mind about developing all that land on Clarkson Ave (Vital Brooklyn and KIngsbrook ) in Community Board 9 for the homeless, drug addicts, mentally challenged and singles, and shutting out families? Where is the affordable housing for larger families on NYS land in the district? I guess today’s victory is “Change you can believe in!” – I believe I will have to keep change in my pockets just in case a random person demands it on my way to shul.

What do you mean by “re-elect”?
She was never elected in the first place.
You know you can not Re-Elect someone that have NEVER been elected
