Rabbi Yudi Dukes, who has survived a months-long battle against coronavirus, was released Tuesday from the hospital for the second time after a health setback.
Dukes has been in the Rusk Rehabilitation Center, recovering from his months-long battle with coronavirus. He had been recently readmitted to the hospital for further treatment.
“It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 7.5 months since Yudi has been home. But what’s more unbelievable is the fact that you have stuck by our side the entire time,” his wife Sarah Dukes said about the thousands around the world who have been praying for Yudi’s recovery.
On Tuesday, Sarah informed that on Day #225 of Yudi’s battle with COVID, “after what felt like one hundred steps backwards, Yudi takes a gigantic leap forward with his transfer to Rusk today!”
“The departure was quiet and intimate which allowed Yudi and I to share this experience together and reflect on the incredible miracle that was taking place,” Sarah Dukes said.
She noted that miraculously, Yudi is now able to walk independently.
“May the next and final transfer happen smoothly and swiftly and we will all celebrate together with Yudi dancing out of NYU and into his own home!” Sarah Dukes said.
Please continue to pray for Chaim Schneur Zalman Yehuda ben Hinda Yocheved.
