Ramadan is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community. In Jerusalem, it was marked by rioting and violence at Al-Aqsa mosque located on the Temple Mount (Har Habayis).
But that didn’t stop Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, a pro-Palestinian voice who has been accused of anti-Semitic views, to support such unholy acts during a holy time for Muslims.
“I was 7 years old when I first prayed at the Al Aqsa with my sity,” she tweeted, referring to her grandmother in Lebanese. “It’s a sacred site for Muslims. This is equivalent to attacking the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for Christians, or the Temple Mount for Jews. Israel attacks it during Ramadan.”
Tagging President Joe Biden, she asked “Where’s the outrage @POTUS?”
Her comments weren’t left unanswered for long. Responding was David Friedman, who served as US Ambassador to Israel from 2017 to 2021.
“Unlike you, I have never prayed on the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, because Israel limits prayer there to Muslims – no Jewish or Christian prayer is allowed,” he pointed out. “Israel bends over backwards to secure Muslim worship at Muslim holy sites. You are way off on the facts.”
Friedman later tweeted: “Hamas now firing rockets at civilians in Jerusalem, Mevaseret, Beit Shemesh and the Gaza periphery. Watching children running for cover. Anyone defending this despicable behavior is contributing to the barbarism.”
He later thanked Nickolay Mladeno, former UN envoy for the Middle East Peace Process, and congress members Kathleen Rice and Ritchie Torres for their support for Israel during these attacks.
A quote was shared in the name of Australia Imam Mohammad Tawhidi, stating: “We built a mosque on top of their Solomon’s Temple, yet they’re the invaders. Explain how that makes any sense. Happy Jerusalem Day to its lawful owners and chosen children.”
In addition to the unrest in Jerusalem, Arab terrorists have been using the holy time of Ramadan to fire some 150 rockets from the Gaza Strip on Israel. Thankfully, the Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepted dozens of them.
The Israel Air Force attacked a number of Hamas terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip and IDF fighter jets destroyed a Hamas offensive terrorist tunnel in the Gaza Strip, IsraelNationalNews.com reported.

But this man didn’t answer a single question. Evicting Palestinians from their home to replace them with Jews is ethnic cleansing. Hamas should not be attacking Israel, but Israel should not be employing racist tactics and attacking houses of worship.
Very clever hook…
You’ll get a lot of responses
The land in question was bought by a Jew in Ottoman times. When Jordan invaded the west bank in 1948 some Arabs moved in. When Israel conquered it in the DEFENSIVE 6 day war (1967), the original owners laid claim to it. They were in Israeli court for years. The court made a compromise where they can live there as long as they pay rent. They haven’t paid in years.
To write the above comment is sad.
“ evicting Palestinians from their homes”?
These homes belong to jews !
Stop rewriting history.
Israel has one of the most liberal courts in the world, so if the courts ruled that they can be evicted then you can be assured that this is as legal as it gets.
I’m sorry as well. Israel is in defense /survival mode . They never start even if it’s to their disadvantage Get ur facts straight.
The mere contention is absurd. These houses were owned by Jews and Jewish organizations in a Jewish neighborhood prior to 1948. The current residents admit that they have no legal title or deed to the property, and yet for over 30 years have refused to pay rent to the owners as mandated by several court orders. Obviously this issue is referred to simply as the jewish eviction of arab families. This aside from the fact that coordinated violence of this scale on the arab side is nearly always premeditated and far from a spontaneous reaction. That seems to be the… Read more »
On the contrary, you know, Israel ethnically cleansed Jews from the Gaza Strip and handed the whole thing over to Hamas. And what did they do with it? They turned it into one big terrorist base, and even destroyed the infrastructure (such as greenhouses) left to them. So no, you’ve got things morally inverted, as is typical. Understand that evicting terrorists who shoot rockets and kill Jews is not “ethnic cleansing,” it’s defending our land and our people against our enemies. And those “houses of worship” are, more often than not, where anti-Jewish and anti-human sermons are preached, where hate… Read more »
Who are you really?
This land belongs to the Jewish people
G–d gave it to the Jewish people
It only belongs in our hands
No its not Ethnic cleansing when it was Jewish owned property and who were ethnically cleansed from the Shimon Hatzadik neighborhood.
If you did any kind of research, you would know that the current homes in question were LEGALLY purchased by Jews about 100 years ago, and there is legal documentation supporting this. The courts ruled that the Arabs needs to be evicted because of lack of rent payment, and that there is no legal standing to their claim.
The issue of the evictions should be determined in the appropriate courts.
I believe that the Israel High Court is hearing the case.
The appropriate documentation of ownership it can be assumed will be assessed by the said court.
Owning a particular property is not based on religion/ race or nationality, it is a legal statute.
Since when is evicting a Palestinian, who admittedly might have lived there for years, from a home that legally belongs to a Jew, ethnic cleansing?
On their last day of Ramadan, the arabs were “attacked”. The arabs started the violence so the Israeli soldiers were forced to take action.
Second: the yom kippur war??????? HELLOOOOOOOOO?! YOM KIPPUR AND THE KOSEL?????? AND THEY ARE SCREAMING FOR THEIR HOLIDAY?
And third: FOR THE LAST TIME: ITS OUR LAND – GET OUT! It’s not right to kick them out? Since when do arabs do anything right? What does right mean exactly, besides getting back israel which NEVER BELONGED TO THEM!
