Moms: take a break from scrubbing and scouring! Reward your girls on the days leading up to Pesach with a video that offers great entertainment plus valuable Jewish content. Or save the excitement for a special Chol Hamoed viewing.
Now available: “Dance Like Miriam,” a superb musical production professionally brought to video for a wide audience of women and girls. Set in Egypt in the year 2332 (1429 BCE), the music and dance performance follows Miriam the Prophetess, sister of Moshe Rabbeinu, through her experiences during that era.
Featuring original songs, colorful costumes, and beautiful choreography, the high quality hour-long production was created by the students of Lamplighters Jewish Academy in Oxnard, California. The script is based on the girls’ in-depth research into Miriam and the events of the time.
“Miriam speaks to us today, a generation beginning to dance and sing with tambourines in anticipation of the final Redemption!” said Racheli Muchnik, Head of School at Lamplighters Jewish Academy and co-director of Chabad of Oxnard, California.
“Soulful and entertaining! This uplifting production made me want to grab a tambourine and dance like Miriam!” – Robin Garbose, Filmmaker
