Brooklyn District Attorney candidate Ama Dwimoh visited the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Ohel Monday night, on the eve of the primary election.
Ms. Dwimoh was accompanied by family members and aides.
Rabbi Abba Refson, Director of Ohel Chabad-Lubavitch, met Ama and her delegation, and explained the background and significance of the Rebbe’s Ohel. Ama was moved by the stories she heard of the Rebbe, and in particular his care and concern for children.
Ama was a prosecutor for over 21 years and the founder and chief of the Crimes Against Children Bureau at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office, and made international news for her work prosecuting the Nixzmary Brown case.
She presented a workshop at the Kinus HaShluchos this past year on identifying child abuse within our community, and was a guest at the Kinus Banquet as Special Counsel to Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams.
