New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has issued a proclamation citing Chabad for serving Northway travelers year-round with minyan and the “Passover Stopover.”
Organized by Albany Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Rubin and the Maimonides Jewish school, another service will be the “87 Northway Traveler’s Torah” which will serve travelers in Albany, Saratoga, Lake George and Adirondack regions.
Daily Shacharis at Shomray Torah 463 New Scotland Avenue begins 8:00 AM, Mincha/Maariv at 7:25 PM.
Montreal’s Chief Rabbi Yonason Weiss and the Vaad Ha’ir Executive Rabbi Saul Immanuel recently lauded Albany’s Heimish hospitality, recalling the legendary “Shtetl-Kretchme” roadside inns offering weary travelers a warm welcome to refresh, physically and spiritually, from their long trips.

Rabbi Rubin in the greatest. A very kind man and scholar. I miss my years in Albany and wish I spent more time learning from him. A beautiful Jew and real Shliach.
